Dora the Explorer; Journey to Coral Cove is a storybook for children ages 3 and older designed for use only in the My Poingo Reading System. My Poingo uses different technology than the original Poingo system. Each My Poingo storybook comes with an audio cartridge that slips into the My Poingo reader (it looks like an oversized pen). Touching the reader to the storybook's pages activates the audio. The My Poingo reader does not come with this storybook. The My Poingo system is not compatible with the original Poingo platform.

Dora the Explorer; Journey to Coral Cove tells the story of a mermaid picnic planned at Coral Cove, and Dora, Boots, and the gang needing help finding it. Using the My Poingo reader, youngsters can take a trip past conch shells and down a racing river, past friendly alligators and onto Seagull Island, and up the Rainbow Staircase past a pirate's fortune. In the end, the mermaid picnic is great success, and on the way children will learn plenty of expressive new vocabulary plus additional fun words in Dora's own Spanish. ¡Que bueno!

Features of this My Poingo storybook include:

• Children touch the My Poingo reader to each page to hear the story read aloud.
• Children use the My Poingo reader to hear sound effects, music, and other audio surprises. For example, children can touch a picture of bushes to hear a song, or touch a bird to hear it chirp.
