The My Poingo Reader and Nickelodeon Dora the Explorer Storybook is a complete interactive storybook system for children ages 3 and older. The Dora the Explorer Storybook is designed for use only with the My Poingo reader (included). My Poingo uses different technology than the original Poingo system. Each My Poingo storybook comes with an audio cartridge that slips into the My Poingo reader (it looks like an oversized pen). Touching the reader to the storybook's pages activates the sound. The My Poingo platform is not compatible with the original Poingo platform.

The 20-page Dora the Explorer Storybook: Journey to Coral Cove follows Dora, Boots, and Swiper as they take children on an interactive journey of reading and fun. The storybook teaches reading and reasoning, and sharpens youngsters' attentiveness while engaging them with the Nicklodeon characters they love.

Features of the My Poingo reading system include:

• Children touch the My Poingo reader to each page to hear the story read aloud.
• Children use the My Poingo Reader to hear sound effects, music, and other audio surprises. For example, when they touch a picture of Swiper with the reader, he says, "Oh mannn!"
• Children use the My Poingo reader to find activities on each page, including look-and-find games, animal sounds, and words in Spanish.

The My Poingo Reader and Dora the Explorer Storybook conforms to the specifications for toy safety of ASTM F963-07. Two AAA batteries that power the reader are included. Additional storybooks featuring children's favorite characters are available for the My Poingo reader.
