5CaptivatingDec 16, 2009

I purchased the original Poingo set for a 10 hr. car trip, each way. My almost five yr. old boy placed hmself in his carseat 20 min. early to 'read' his book; and so he continued with those two and numerous books with cd's from the library for the trip. I purchased the Lion King for Channukah-he went to bed, propped himself up with pillows and we 'read' the Lion King together. Pooh's Wishful Thinking is hiding the closet for the next car trip (in Jan.) He is captivated by the reading, sounds, symbols and questions. He readily used the books independently, which stunned me.

Our two year old loves to point his Poingo pen and hear the animal sounds. He has many Poingo books, this one is one of his favorites.

4Good with a couple glitches in the readerFeb 25, 2011

I bought 10 of these books and am rating each one individually after they are being read. I have 15 mo old triplets and a 2.5 yr old. My 2.5 yr old loves her Poingo pen and enjoys reading the books by herself, or having me read them to her. The triplets will involve themselves if I am reading the book out loud, but not if Poingo is reading. So far, I am giving the other books a 5 star rating for their easy of use, the great story telling and fun activities and sounds included in the book. The short sentences are a plus, making the concepts easy for young children to understand and repeat. This particular book is getting a 4 star rating because at times the reader is not pausing at the end of a sentence, but is running on as if there were no period. This makes what is being read harder for the child to process and understand. As an educational and entertainment tool, the Poingo reader should also be teaching proper English and how to read sentences (a period means pause before continuing to the next sentence). Still, the children are enjoying the book, and so am I.

5My daughter loves Poingo.Feb 11, 2010

My daughter loves the Poingo reader. It's a lot less expensive than other readers, and it has all Disney books. These are a great addition to your Poingo librabry.
